Wellness Fair & Market

I had the pleasure of attending the 17th Annual Black Women's Wellness Day with my wife and mother-in-love. This was my wife and I first time attending, I believe it was my mother-in-love's third time attending BWWD. Our first stop was registration, where we received our badges with our name and table seating. After registration we were headed to the lower level, for the Fair & Market, where all the vendors were.

Walking into the room, I could feel the energy of happiness covering my spirits. Nothing but smiles and warm embraces. From hearing the beautiful beat of the drums from the motherland to the sounds of laughter from a room full of black women bringing wellness to the Madison community. You had elders who were fellowshipping with each other, what a magical site. The sound of Black Women voices of empowerment echoing the ballroom. Honestly, it was a moment that you had to be there.

While we spent the first part of the morning at the market we had the opportunity to shop with local vendors like Stephanie at Queen P's Throne aka "earring lady" and Tia and Tammy with Oh-She-Cute. It was a roomful of black women wellness all over, I was enjoying the moment so much I only got a few images to share because I was enjoying the moment.

After a morning of shopping, signing up for community events, and having great conversation we made our way to the dining room to replenish our minds. While enjoying a health conscious, yet delicious lunch,
